We've worked with many organisations that are faced with the complexity of processing millions of applications for government benefits. We've helped them manage the workload. Why are EzGov Europe solutions ideally suited for this arena?
The EzGov Europe transactional applications architecture provides an infrastructure that can support both the external-facing application a citizen uses to apply for benefits, and the internal-facing ones for managing the case as it moves through the approval process. Of course, a revenue collection component is supported, too.
Case
In Point: Child Benefit Online, Department for Work and Pensions
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is a UK government agency
responsible for delivering support and advice through a modern network
of services, to people of working age, employers, pensioners, families
and children and disabled people. The Department's key aim is to
help its customers become financially independent and help reduce
child poverty. As part of an overall government remit to deliver
e-Government services, one of the DWP's objectives is to improve
access to its services by making it possible for citizens to transact
with the department electronically. For the DWP, the potential benefits
of offering electronic transactions include increased access to
services, fostering an improved relationship with citizens and efficiency
gains resulting from improvement of the existing claims process.
The benefit to the citizen is a simplified form-filling experience
and quicker processing, in most cases, of their claim.
The EzGov Europe solution is simple and efficient. Notification
of changes in claimant circumstances are accepted from a wide variety
of channels (for example, telephone, letter, email). Most changes
are quite straightforward, such as change of address, change of
bank account, and so on. Online access to a Child
Benefit application simplifies this process. The volume of claims
and changes of details to existing claims is substantial. Currently,
around seven million families receive a payment of Child Benefit
covering nearly thirteen million children. The web-based
Child Benefit form speeds up the application process by automatically
determining and making available the required supplementary forms
based on the input from the main form.
